Function prerequisite
Experience and knowledge:
- A minimum of 3 years working with civil society organizations in Lebanon; NGO/INGO experience is not essential.
- Good understanding of human rights issues in Lebanon and rights-based approaches; working knowledge of refugee communities is an asset.
- Experience with implementing project cycles from planning, to implementation, monitoring, evaluation is an asset.
- Experience and enthusiasm for working with, supporting and strengthening civil society organizations.
- Experience with budgeting and expenditure monitoring of partners.
- Experience of using MS Office applications.
Skills and special aptitudes
- Fluency in Arabic is required; English is an asset.

Responsibilities
General Description
The Project Coordinator is responsible for building and following up the relationship with project partners under the Lebanon Program portfolio.
This is a full-time position.
Specifically
- Support and advise partners throughout the project implementation period.
- Evaluate partners’ capacities using NPA’s tools and develop and implement capacity building plans.
- Ensure proper project cycle implementation in-line with partnership agreements and donor requirements.
- Comply with NPA Lebanon program requirements: planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Follow-up with partners and other Lebanon and MENA country program staff on context developments that can affect the partners and the program.
- Comply with project administrative requirements in coordination with relevant NPA staff.
- Ensure proper archiving of documentation pertaining to the projects and partners.
- In close collaboration with the Lebanon Programme Manager, contribute to the mapping and building relationships with potential partners for future project proposals.
- In close collaboration with the Lebanon Programme Manager, participate concept note and project proposal writing.
