Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations; review, monitor and analyze accounting data on the system, and produce financial statements for HQ
- Prepare HQ periodic financial reports for management such as: BS; P&L by month, class & country (all Regional Offices); equity movement; cash flow analysis; HR analysis; reports for Executive Committee; and other reports upon request
- Perform for Lebanon, Syria and other Regional Offices the calculation, assessment and adjustment of more subjective accounting entries such as fixed assets depreciation, provisions, accruals, cost sharing allocations, etc.
- HR/Payroll: process monthly payroll to Lebanon and HQ staff
- Handle budget preparation annually, and continuously monitor and report any discrepancies
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions for statutory requirements, as well as prepare, submit declaration, and ensure timely filing and payment of NSSF, tax on salaries, income taxes, and VAT dues
- Prepare annual consolidated financial statements and ensure meeting financial accounting objectives for HQ
- Review and approve transactions prior to payment processing according to Financial Policies and Procedures
- For Partners in Lebanon, Syria and other Regional Offices: handle monthly time allocations, prepare and submit financial reporting and projects’ financial requirements
- Act as the Financial and Accounting Department (FAD) focal point of contact with other departments in HQ, with banking institutions, and with MoF and NSSF authorities in Lebanon for official requirements or in the case of any issues or investigations
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Act as direct manager for FAD team and ensure they abide by the Financial Policies and Procedures, use the appropriate forms and tools, get the necessary training, etc.
- Manage the relationship with Regional Offices for Financial planning and reporting
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by direct manager

- Accountability to deliver accurate results with ability to handle pressure
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
- Computer literate with familiarity to Accounting systems and tools
- Strong communication skills needed especially for handling different internal and external stakeholders: Partners/Donors, Auditors, Regional Offices finance teams, HQ Management team, and others
