I- Introduction:
The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014 that aims to expand, manage, and protect Lebanon’s forests and landscapes through a community-based approach. We work on building resilient communities to environmental threats, increasing environmental awareness and education, advocating for forest conservation, and advancing research in the forestry field.
II-Purpose of the Position:
The HR Intern works in close collaboration with the HR Coordinator to learn and support on the HR tasks.
III- Tasks and responsabilities:
- Updating our internal analytics and information databases system.
- Follow up and Checking employees’ timesheets Soft & Hard Copies.
- Participate in LRI events and support in their preparation.
- Archiving the HR files
- Supporting with the recruitment/ selection process: by shortlisting qualified candidates, scheduling interviews, participation of some interviews of job applicants and the interviews assessments.
- Administrative tasks – photocopying; scanning/faxing HR documents.
- Helping in the preparation of the JDs and Job advertisement and post vacancies.
- Receives and archives required documentation from staff members.
- Supports the maintenance of up-to-date staff records.
- Supports uploading of different documentation on SharePoint and One Drive.
- Follow up on vacation request of all timesheets.
- Prepare New Staff Documents and ask new staff to read and sign it.
- Prepare all documents needed for the induction day.
- Prepare interview report and CV for the interview.
- Prepare a file for new coming staff.
- Participate in the team building activities for employees, support with the training initiatives and participate with the development plan and suggesting new ideas and initiatives.
- Participate with the HR coordinator in designing the new performance appraisal process and forms based on research and the HR trends.
- Assist in the issuing, implementation, and updating of policies and memos.
IV-Requirements and skills
- University Major: Human Resources Management
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Very good in English & Arabic. French is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning HR department.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive and team-oriented approach to work.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
