LOST is seeking to recruit an Education Officer to assist ” Danida” Project Team.

Job Description:

• Oversee educational aspect and project curricula development
• Monitor and coach educator classroom interaction and management
• Develop strategies to identify students at risk of dropping out or facing challenges.
• Implement outreach programs to communicate with students and understand their needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to create a supportive environment for students.
• Work closely with school administrators to align retention efforts with overall educational goals.
• Design and implement programs that focus on academic support, mentorship, counseling, or other services aimed at retaining students.
• Monitor the effectiveness of these programs and adjust as needed.
• Identify students who need additional academic assistance and coordinate tutoring or other support services.
• Work with teachers to address specific academic challenges faced by students.
• Implement programs to promote positive behavior and social interactions.
• Regularly monitor and assess the progress of activities
• Provide training and professional development opportunities for teachers and staff on effective retention strategies.

Experience and Technical Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, pedagogy, or related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the education sector, including teaching, teacher training and coaching;
• Facilitation and capacity-building experience and skills;
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is mandatory;
• Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Flexibility, commitment, work ethics and team spirit;
