-Function responsibilities include:

• Carry out the functions and tasks associated to nursing i.e. perform as a nurse or anesthetist, whenever required or needed, in order to optimize the resources, contributing with his/her knowledge and experience.
• Implement all the protocols and hygiene procedures and supervise his/her team follow the same standards, in order to warrant the quality of the care and service in his/her specialty.
• Organize and coordinate the activities of his/her team (week’s schedule, annual leave, absences, etc.), evaluate their performance and define and ensure the needs for training of staff, in order to ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality.
• Carry out and/or supervise the ( decentralized) pharmacy and medical equipment management (drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption, etc.)in his or her department, in order to satisfy the needs of material with efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensuring  that all staff  using medical devices are qualified and trained. Ensuring that cleaning and minor maintenance tasks are performed according to the protocols. Reporting any malfunction to the project biomedical service.
• Carry-out and/or coordinate administrative (exit-paper, transfer-paper, etc.), information and data collection (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.) tasks, and elaborate regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about the day-to-day activity in the project, output/ outcome and support decision-taking.
• Give feedback/ reports to medical focal point.

Specific activities:

• Assess patient pathway in the referral PHC and advice for improvement where needed
• Supervise the referrals pertaining to NCD Patients : Responsible for facilitating communication between MSF and other Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs) to ensure that referred patients arrive at the designated PHCCs. Additionally, oversee the counter-referral process for complicated cases, either redirecting them to MSF or arranging specialized consultations as per their specific needs
• Assess appointment system and propose improvement to the PHCC accordingly
• Supervsse the attendance of PHCCs’ incentivised staff (vailability of consultants)
• Ensure capacity building by identifying training needs, proposing training sessions, and actively delivering on-job and foemal trainings to nursing NCD staff members .
• Monitor consumption in collaboration with the PHCC pharmacist and the support of MSF pharmacist and propose the medical supply top-up to avoid rupture
• Ensure quality data collection(completion and promptitude of data tools)
• Perform reporting pertaining to SITREP, challenges, medical reports, etc…
• Participate to the quality of care evaluation and the building of the improvement action plan.
• Record patients’ complaints and discuss solutions with NCD medical doctore and Midwife activity manager

Requirements

Education

• Essential: Recognized Nursing Degree/Diploma
• Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in science of Nursing
• Essential: Ministry of Public Health – MOPH Practice license as Nurse in Lebanon
• Essential: Valid certificate of registration at the Order of Nurse in Lebanon

Experience

• Essential: 2 years of previous work experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a Medical (I)NGO

Languages

• Essential: Full professional proficiency using the English and Arabic language
• Desirable: Elementary to limited proficiency using the French language

Knowledge

• Essential: intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
