LOST is seeking to recruit a caseworker in Hermel who will be responsible to ensure that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced. The caseworker will also coordinate with the Protection Unit for internal and external referrals.
Job Description :
• Conduct training awareness sessions on protection issues;
• Conducts primary assessments for matters involving protection issues;
• Assesses and prioritizes cases based on their level of risk;
• Provides mapping of the available services and organizations operating in the area;
• Compile reports containing relevant information;
• Develops a case management plan based on the needs identified via the evaluation;
• Through regular presence in the community, identifies particular individuals in need of case management;
• Identifies, refers to, and tracks all services, ensuring that action items are completed within the agreed-upon timeline.
• Reviewing and adjusting the action plan as needed to achieve progress;
• Cases are managed in accordance with national practical standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Documents cases using case notes and updates the database on a regular basis to ensure a complete record of each case;
• Participates in relevant caseworker meetings.
• Ensures coordination and synergy with the main service providers in the area of intervention for prompt intervention.
General Skills :
Bachelor Degree in Social Science , Sociology or any other relevant Field
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience
Communication and reporting skills, preferably from a multi-cultural environment
Performing under pressure
Being proficient in English, Arabic in both written and oral skills
