Job Objective:
Help families and individuals with special needs in the Tripoli area improve their moral and social status.
Main tasks:
- Identify social cases that need follow-up and provide them with support.
- Ensure high quality of provided services by providing needed support to team members.
- Study the social and economic situation of the beneficiaries by adopting the techniques of case study and interview inside the center in addition to home visits, conducting the necessary actions according to professional standards, and recording information and data in the medical file according to forms.
- Document and keep records in the department according to the rules and regulations in a way that preserves the confidentiality of information.
- Contribute to counseling, advice, and guidance (group and individual).
- Guide and direct patients and their families to make sound decisions related to their healthy behavior and positive adaptation to the disease and its effects, and work with and for people and families with social problems to restore their life, psychological, and economic balance.
- Document and record cases of abuse and domestic violence according to the approved systems.
- Provide individual and group care for special cases, including home visits (when applicable), and develop plans related to these cases (personal development and rehabilitation, literacy eradication).
- Organize groups with common goals to satisfy their needs.
- Participate in writing medical reports regarding the social aspect.
- Discuss special cases that refuse treatment with the attending physicians.
- Develop programs and follow up on chronic patients, and infectious and incurable diseases within the scope of the health center’s services.
- Participate in preparing and presenting training and educational programs and activities for the center.
- Participate in awareness and educational campaigns and national campaigns in accordance with the plans of the Ministries of Public Health and Social Affairs.
- Professional participation in times of crises and disasters at the individual and collective level.
- Coordinate with the relevant authorities (mayor, school, etc…) to provide social services to the target groups and activate health-promoting programs and behaviors within the scope of the center’s services.
- Participate in neighborhood committees and committees related to primary health care.
- Participate in maternity and childhood care programs and immunizations.
- Work within the school health program implemented by the center and health education in schools.
- Plan and implement a series of projects and social health awareness programs according to the region’s requirements and priorities, and present them to funding bodies in coordination and supervision of the center’s director.
- Contribute to communication, coordination, and networking with local health, social and educational institutions in order to satisfy the needs and requirements of the individual, the group, or the local community (similar associations, mayors, mayors, school principals, etc…).
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Community Social Work.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the field.
