LOST is seeking to recruit a Math Teacher with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience to teach in the following location/s: Hermel
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Relationships:
The postholder is accountable to LOST’s Education Officers and Education Coordinator for his/her teaching duties and responsibilities.
Particular Responsibilities:
To be fully aware of, and adhere to, LOST’s Code of Conduct and Safeguarding policies and procedures and to ensure their implementation
To maintain positive discipline practices in accordance with the LOST” S Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Agreements
To commit to and understanding of LOST’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
To be responsible to create conducive teaching learning environment where the students will get education as per desired
To implement a Math curriculum under the supervision of the Education officers and Education Coordinator.
To ensure that students feel comfortable, safe and respected
To teach, according to students’ needs
To monitor and evaluate the students’ progress
To demonstrate non-discriminatory working practices and to encourage this in others
To respect the classroom premises (ensuring classrooms are tidy and any accidental damage is reported to the staff in charge)
To be able to identify types of learners and act accordingly to make sure competence is satisfied
Qualifications and Experience:
University degree in Math is a must
3 years of experience
Experience of working with adolescents and/or youth
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
NB: LOST has a zero tolerance to sexual Exploitation and abuse of beneficiaries. Protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the code of conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (Both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the code of conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause
