Key Responsibilities

  • Project Budgeting:
    • Collaborate with project coordinators to develop accurate and comprehensive project budgets aligned with donor requirements and organizational standards.
    • Monitor project budgets throughout implementation, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information on project financial performance.
    • Coordinate with project teams to gather necessary data for reporting and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
  • Orphan Support Finances:
    • Oversee and manage the financial aspects related to orphan support programs, including the preparation and distribution of funds and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
    • Develop and maintain distribution lists for orphan support, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Financial Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all donor projects and activities.
    • Ensure the financial transactions are properly documented, coded, and filed in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Compliance and Audit Support:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial documentation and support the organization’s compliance with audit requirements.
    • Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary financial information during audits and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English language
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with non-profit financial management, grant accounting, and donor reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand the work environment and competing priorities in conjunction with developing and meeting project goals.
  • Ability to interact with people from all organizational levels.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
