Key Responsibilities
- Project Budgeting:
- Collaborate with project coordinators to develop accurate and comprehensive project budgets aligned with donor requirements and organizational standards.
- Monitor project budgets throughout implementation, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information on project financial performance.
- Coordinate with project teams to gather necessary data for reporting and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
- Orphan Support Finances:
- Oversee and manage the financial aspects related to orphan support programs, including the preparation and distribution of funds and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain distribution lists for orphan support, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all donor projects and activities.
- Ensure the financial transactions are properly documented, coded, and filed in accordance with accounting principles.
- Compliance and Audit Support:
- Assist in the preparation of financial documentation and support the organization’s compliance with audit requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary financial information during audits and reviews.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English language
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with non-profit financial management, grant accounting, and donor reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand the work environment and competing priorities in conjunction with developing and meeting project goals.
- Ability to interact with people from all organizational levels.
