Job Title: Part-time Accountant (Maternity Leave Replacement)
About the Organization:
Teach for Lebanon (TFL) is a Lebanese NGO that is part of the global Teach For All network. TFL employs and trains Lebanon’s top graduates, called “TFL Fellows”, and places them in underserved schools to provide quality education for underprivileged refugee and Lebanese children.
Role Summary:
The part-time accountant will assist the Finance Manager with general accounting tasks such as preparing monthly payroll data, performing required reports, and preparing documents for audits.
Main Accountabilities:
Perform general accounting, accounts payable, school reimbursements, cash management, financial contract accounting and reporting, payroll operations, employee timesheets, and government registrations.
Prepare monthly bank and supplier account reconciliations.
Perform data filing.
Prepare and execute monthly payroll data entry.
Ensure invoices comply with internal policies and procedures.
Collect CNSS checks and execute CNSS subscription data entry.
Scan and print documents as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting department.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Arabic.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
Experience with accounting software and internet-based technology solutions.
Working Conditions:
Location: Achrafieh Office
Working Hours: 16 hours/week (2 full working days)
Compensation: $7.5/hour ($480/month)
Duration: August 1 – November 21 (tentative based on maternity leave)
