The Rene Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking a “field coordinator” for the project “Improving the social and economic resilience of vulnerable host and refugee communities in Lebanon” funded by BMZ and implemented by WHH in partnership with RMF.

The project goal is to improve the resilience of the host community and the refugee community in rural Lebanon and their abilities to cope with the economic crisis. The project outcomes are:

1. to provide access to the value chain actors to improve their cooperation opportunities at vertical and horizontal levels and have better access to local and regional markets.

2.  to improve the knowledge and skills of Local actors while increasing their competitiveness along the value chain

3. to improve cooperation/social cohesion by strengthening the partnerships between communities with different ethnic backgrounds

Project Activity:

• Providing capacity building and in-kind support for 450 farmers and 15 MSMEs
• Supporting farmers in the market linkages and signature of 30 Contract farming
• Supporting the creation of 3 purchasing and selling committees
• Implementing 6 networking events
• Implement 7 community projects through cash-for-work activities targeting 320 vulnerable beneficiates

November 2022 – December 2025

Position Summary

The field coordinator will be responsible of the day-to-day field activities that will be implemented in North Lebanon and Akkar.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate and take part of the implementation of project activities in targeted areas.
• Summarize, evaluate, and update on a regular basis the activities following the established planning schedules.
• Coordinate and maintain regular contact with Municipalities and local stakeholders including (farmers, coops, community leaders, local government officials, and MSMEs…)
• Liaise with other organizations, if needed.
• Determine any changes to the plan and report to the Project Director.
• Contribute to the monthly activities report.
• Assisting in collecting all needed data.
• Identify and report success stories.
• Prepare weekly reports,
• Follow up with RMF consultants for the activity’s implementation
• Ensure project documents are complete, and archived properly
• Lead the execution of activities/ meetings/ outreach activity/ orientation sessions/site visits etc. at targeted municipalities/communities/
• Data entry of project information
• field supervision of ongoing activities (training, field visits, cash for work activity…)
• Support in the delivery of input to farmers and MSMEs
• Encourage farmers into collective work and support the creation of Purchasing and selling Committees
• Lead meetings with farmers and MSMEs to encourage market linkages and contract farming
• Organize networking events
• Implement other tasks requested by the project director

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic; French is a plus
• Share key humanitarian values
• Possesses an analytical approach
• Possesses organizational skills/ Energetic and tenacious

Qualification

• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, or any other relevant field with 4 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Prior experience in supporting farmers with market linkages
• Prior similar responsibilities with donor-funded projects.
• Holder of a driving license
