Nation Station is a youth grassroots’ initiative, based in a rehabilitated gas station in the heart of the neighborhood of Geitawi in Beirut. It was created in response to the Beirut explosion on August 4, 2020, to serve as a hub for food, medical and rehabilitation support. Based on a detailed and evolving assessment of the needs, they are essential players in the response to the blast.
Nation Station aim to provide sustainable relief to the affected household of the Beirut Blast through a combination of effective organization, data collection and donation distribution.
Nation Station seeks to evolve from an immediate relief center to a long-term, self-sustaining community hub that hosts cultural events and platforms of collaboration with upcoming crisis intervention initiatives.
- Title, duties, role definition and requirements:
Title: Dispatch & Delivery Coordinator
Duties & Role Definition:
- Maintain relationship with customers, beneficiaries and volunteers,
- Reports to supply and procurement coordinator on needed and missing items,
- Monitor the quality of the service and the food,
- Assist beneficiaries/customers with any queries or requests,
- Conducts weekly meetings with kitchen manager to report,
- Maintains health and safety standards, and safe working protocols in the kitchen; set up safe work stations for workshop participants,
- Oversees daily operations (packing, pick-up, deliveries) are done on time and portioned accurately,
- Communicate and receive complaints/inquiries/questions from customers, beneficiaries and volunteers,
- Assist operations manager with overseeing staffing responsibilities,
- Make sure all team is keeping safety/hygiene standards,
- Updates and analyzes data sheet and conducts assessments/calls when needed,
- Train and supervise volunteers and interns as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum education degree or equivalent,
- Ability to maintain and manage health and safety standards,
- Ability to manage and monitor the deliveries,
- High organization and communication skills,
- Knowledge in Omega software is a plus.
Working days: 5 days / part-time
