Background
Taawon (Welfare Association) is an independent non-profit organization established in 1983 by a group of Palestinian business and intellectual figures to provide development and humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, 1948 Areas, and the Palestinian communities in Lebanon.
Taawon aims to contribute to furthering the progress of the Palestinians, preserving their heritage and identity, supporting their culture and building civil society. Taawon is strongly rooted in the local Palestinian community in Lebanon, making it both a trusted partner and well-placed to respond to the community’s needs. In partnership with local NGOs, we implement projects in five sectors: Education, Community Development and Culture.
Scope of work:
Taawon (Welfare Association) – Lebanon is seeking to hire a Human Resource Clerk with knowledge and understanding of recruitment processes.
Under the direct supervision of Programs Manager and in close coordination with the Program Department, the candidate hired for this position will need to work independently and use strong communication skills, must be able to manage deadlines and to work well in a driven and dedicated team.
Human Resource Clerk
- Review the job vacancies announcement issued by the sub-partners.
- Prepare the long and short lists of the applicants based on the announcement criteria
- Prepare the pre – test
- Join the interviews as a panel member
- Conduct the reference check process
- Monitor that the sub – partner prepare the contracts.
- Follow-up with sub-partner and DRC on platform called Referral Information Management System (RIMS).
Requirements
- BS degree in Business Administration, Human Resource, or relevant field
- At least 3years of professional work experience in Humane Resources Management within Palestinian camps and gatherings in Lebanon is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write simply with a conversational style in both Arabic and English.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Word (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Relevant work experience particularly focused in the Palestinian camps and gatherings in Lebanon is required.
- Experience with UN Agencies or international development organizations is an asset.
