Objective 1: Provide technical guidance and supervision of effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of CP activities to be provided to vulnerable children/adolescents and their families in Lebanon, particularly in the areas of North Bekaa and Mount Lebanon.

  • Work closely with the CP Project Managers and CP Program Manager;
  • Support the Case Management Supervisors in ensuring the compliance of the CM service with CP and CM standards; and the National SOP.
  • Ensure compliance with child protection standards, PSS Committee guidelines, and TDH manuals during the provision of the Child protection activities;
  • Supervise and be the technical reference of the Child Protection Officers, CBO supervisors, and Case Management Teams;
  • Provide guidance to frontline staff in assessing the needs of beneficiaries and contribute to the establishment of a referral system.
  • Share relevant documents and tools with the HoPs, CP PM, and CP Advisor/Expert

Objective 2: Supervise TDH IT Community Based intervention (Community-based PSS activities, CP Committees, focus groups, awareness sessions), and direct implementation

Objective 3: Participate in CP Working Group meetings (national level and regional if required) and lead the PSS Committee on behalf of TDH IT;

Objective 4:  Conduct regular field visits to monitor the implementation of activities, identify opportunities and constraints, and any adjustments needed including staff training

Objective 5:  Support in developing training programs and required materials and assist in capacity building for staff and partners, possibly in priority thematic areas such as CP, psychosocial support, community resilience, Case management

Design and implement an internal capacity building process in order to train identified technical personnel within TDH IT staff that will be enabled to conduct trainings at national levels (e.g. UNRWA training course, internal training courses)

Objective 6: Manage the CP Expert and help him/her in supervising the Child Protection Officers, CBO supervisors, and Case Management Teams

  • Define realistic and coherent yearly objectives for the Expert

Objective 7: Liaise with other agencies/NGOs/government bodies/donors to ensure coordination, implementation of common standards in the field, and consideration of protection issues in assistance programs;

Objective 8: Follow up and assist M&E staff on the Monitoring of compliance of the staff with TDH IT Child Protection Policy and revise reports of any breaches to relevant management;

Objective 9: Management of a team

  • Participates in the recruitment process of the team member;
  • Ensures that all team members have an updated TOR and are appraised at least every year;
  • Follows up on personal activity or development plans;
  • Handles all the HR issues related to the team.

Diploma, Education Level & Minimum Experience

Master’s degree in Social science/Psychology or equivalent;

Experience of 3 years minimum in a technical position in a CP environment is mandatory:

Experience in a relief NGO in a similar position;

Required Knowledge & Competencies.

Excellent knowledge of Child protection minimum standards and child protection in an emergency (CPIE);

Excellent knowledge in psycho-social support programs in Lebanon;

Fluent in both Arabic and English (speaking and writing)

Driving License.
