MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Research social media communication trends, best practices, policies, procedures, and accessibility in both the private and public sectors. Identify and assess potential opportunities for INARA to use social media tools to enhance the scope, versatility, and breadth of communication; and makes recommendations for their integration at INARA.

Contribute, with the Communications Manager and Communications Officer and Visual content officers to the development of INARA’s social media strategy and policy and takes the lead for their implementation.

Develop goal-oriented plans towards INARA’s fundraising campaigns.

Develops, proposes and implements social media  guidelines, procedures, templates, tools, reporting methodologies,  standards, retention schedules in compliance INARA’s strategies and Communications Manager instructions.

Monitor, review, and analyze comments and conversations on INARA’s social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. to identify insights, emerging trends, risks and impact on INARA, looking for opportunities for engagement. Liaises and consults with colleagues for appropriate actions.

Develop recommendations on how to respond to complex and sensitive social media inquiries and issues and review them with Communications management.

Respond to all inquiries/comments and/or coordinating with appropriate division, programs, etc. for response/action.

Work with the communications staff to source, create (i.e. write short original content), edit, and post multi-media content on social media sites, maintains all social media platforms for INARA; and ensures timeliness and quality of all activities given their visibility to the public.

Generate, monitor, gather, and interpret analytics, conduct preliminary analysis, and report on the effectiveness and influence of INARA’s social media communications tools for reaching and engaging target audiences and on key performance indicators.

Integrate social media analytics with Web and other analytics in coordination with other Communications personnel as needed for meaningful comprehensive analysis that informs decision-making and priority-setting.

Work with the communications manager to develop key performance targets and data gathering processes for INARA’s social media channels, and provide a coordinated social media reporting function.

The Social Media Officer acts as a center of expertise on Social Media at INARA, providing training, advice and guidance to colleagues.

Contribute to INARA’s Communications strategic and operational plan, produce social media content, conduct consultations or research in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, guidelines, procedures, analytics, summary reports, and activities.

Supervise work of consultants or social media officers of partners in Türkiye, Syria, Lebanon and Ukraine.

Run and Manage Ads and ad campaigns on social media platforms and report on progress to the communication manager.

Work with Visual content officers to produce appealing visual elements for INARA’s social media.

Work closely with the communications officer towards the production of INARA’s mail outs and monthly newsletters.

Report weekly to communications Manager on social media insights.

Develop and implement strategies aiming at maintaining INARA’s online reputation and increasing INARA’s base of followers.

Create Facebook pixels and integrate them into INARA’s web campaigns.

 

EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED EDUCATION / SKILLS

A bachelor’s degree in social media management, marketing, or a related field.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a social media representative, or a similar role.

Excellent knowledge of social media best practices.

Ability to effectively use a variety of social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.

Basic knowledge of WordPress management.

Working knowledge of social media tools and Google Analytics.

Solid communication skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of the Humanitarian context is a plus
