JOB SUMMARY

The Field Worker is responsible for conducting field assessments and household visits/phone calls to identify the eligibility status of beneficiaries in North Lebanon and ensure that the distribution of items on the field is going smoothly and as planned.

MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Activities

  • Conduct assessment, survey and outreach activities as required
  • Fill assessment papers as required
  • Enter survey data on software tool as required
  • Refer refugee cases that need follow-up to designated internal and external focal points
  • Participate in the field work and respond to beneficiaries’ queries with good knowledge of relevant information
  • Coordinate with other CL staff on the field
  • Support in administrative work when required
  • Report daily, weekly and monthly on activities and results to the team leader
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the team leader and advised by the donor
  • Conduct distribution of core relief items, weatherproofing kits or in-kind assistance for the refugees
  • Manage the crowds during distributions and during monitoring of cash assistance
  • Address people’s queries through the helpdesk in a respectful and professional manner
  • Meet and warmly greet beneficiaries during the provision of assistance
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of the database and files
  • Assist in compiling, consolidating, and cleaning data at the field level to support operational decision making
  • Check and verify all the information about the beneficiaries and ensure avoiding duplications
  • Report any faced challenges to the team leader
  • Collect complaints, refer them internally and report cases to the line manager

Generic Duties

  • Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
  • Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc..
  • Escalate any issue to the related manager
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Working in-line with the donor’s compliance and accountability measures

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Academic:

Bachelor degree

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong capacity in collecting and sharing information, and keeping always relevant people informed
  • Experience in community sensitization /mobilization
  • Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations
  • Team spirit and flexibility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to the working environment
  • Strong organization skills and attention to details
  • Maintain high standard of professional integrity in all activities

Related Work Experience:

2 years of experience in related field

Language skills:

Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic

Computer Literacy:

 

 

  • Microsoft Office-all applications
  • Software applications required for daily operations
