Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in social work.
A master’s degree in social work may be desired.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant Positions (Local NGO).
Must be organized and practical.
Proven coordination skills to connect individuals/families with relevant services.
Ability to compromise, negotiate, and work well with others.
RDFL is seeking a Case Worker in GBV and SRHR
- Ensure cases harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and receive individual case management support by conducting documentation, assessments, action plans, direct service provision, referrals and follow ups for an assigned case load.
- Make recommendations to ensure spaces are made safe and appropriate for case management
- Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases.
- Conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases, including environmental, emotional, behavioral, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact the individual well-being.
- Ensure the preparation of accurate case plans for high-risk cases identified with clear outcomes and time-frame.
- Monitor and follow up the outcome of the assistance provided.
- Conduct awareness sessions on GBV and SRHR in coordination with the project coordinator
- In collaboration with the Supervisor, coordinator and caseworkers, ensure coordination with other service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing.
- Advocate with different institutions and services providers to help beneficiaries to access needed resources and services.
- Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and monthly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness.
- Collect accurate and confidential data on GBV service provision using the GBV Information Management System
- Participate in management of the hotline.
- Act at all times according to guiding principles of GBV case management including: a survivor centered approach, ensuring confidentiality, prioritization according to safety concerns, anti-discriminatory practice.
- Ensure accountability respecting professional boundaries and avoiding conflicts of interest.
- Be available to participate in meetings and training in and outside the center including case management meetings, case conference meetings or any other meetings when required.
- Communicate regularly with the coordinator and GBV supervisor for updates on achievements and challenges.
- Communicate and coordinate with the legal committee and psychologist at RDFL.
- Accomplish any other assignments allocated by line managers.
Reporting
- Compile all casework related documents in a thematic manner as required by RDFL.
- Report to M&E coordinator monthly on GBVIMS.
- Assist the coordinator in writing reports to the project manager.
