LOST is seeking to recruit a MEAL Officer to assist  “Danida” project team.

Job Description:

• Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the project’s activities, outputs, and outcomes
• Conduct regular field visits to the sites of implementation and record findings to monitor improvement and give recommendations on corrective measures when needed
• Develop and implement plans for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the effectiveness of programs and projects, including identifying appropriate indicators and data sources.
• Collect and analyze data on the impact and effectiveness of programs and projects, using tools such as surveys, focus groups, and case studies.
• Provide technical support and expertise to project staff on issues related to monitoring, evaluation, and accountability, such as data collection and analysis, impact assessment, and reporting.
• Prepare and present reports and updates on the progress and impact of programs and projects to stakeholders, including team members, management, and PLAN.
• Improve organizational relevance and achievement of results, effectiveness and efficiency of resource utilization for enhancement of positive impacts on beneficiaries.
• Assist program staff to identify and remedy implementation problems early on and sustain effective program implementation over time
• Conduct full documentation of activities and accomplishments in the form of reports, publications, and presentations
• Ensure that all staff are following LOST policies and are not conducting any breaches. This is done through regular visits, complaints mechanisms, direct beneficiaries’ feedback, and any other means necessary
• Ensure that gender equality is considered in all the activities including equal and fair treatment, equal opportunities, respect of female quota during outreach, in addition to providing gender-based analysis of the results of the project
• Synthesize internal and external MEAL process audit results into lessons learned and key action points for LOST in terms of improving standard operating procedures, payout implementations and contingency planning.
• Develop, manage and maintain an MIS database of LOST and project’s log- frame indicators and process audit data and results, ensuring the data collection required to populate the database happens on a regular basis.
• Derive lessons learned and assess impact of the project
• Conduct training for staff on MEAL framework (and MEAL in general), providing guidance on LOST’s MEAL processes and objectives.
• Provide recommendations on and lead the development and design of the LOST evaluation strategy and assist in its implementation.
• Coordinate with the Partners’ MEAL focal points for joint and collaborative MEAL activities
• Perform other duties as required.

Experience and Technical Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, English Literature, or any other related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the related field
• Being proficient in English, and Arabic in both written and oral skills
