Duties

 

The incumbent is responsible of operating a medium size, large truck and forklift to deliver furniture appliances, office machines and drinking water cases to and from the warehouse to residences and offices.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:  At least six months experience required in semi-skilled manual activities such as lifting heavy loads, performing heavy work and driving any size of vehicle.

 

Education Requirements:
    • Completion of Primary School

This may be tested:

LANGUAGE:  English – Level 1 basic knowledge.  Arabic Level 1 basic knowledge.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to operate all types of vehicles correctly and safely, to include pick-ups and forklifts.  Ability to drive any size of vehicle.

    1. BENEFITS:
    1. a) Annual Bonuses-The total amounts of bonuses are 2/12 of annual basic salary.
    1. b) Annual Leave – 18 work days for the first 5 years of employment and 20 work days for more than 5 and less than 10 years of employment, 22 work days for more than 10 and less than 16 years of employment and 24 work days for more than 16 years of employment
    1. c) Sick Leave – Employees on a 40 hour workweek schedule may be granted the following amounts of sick leave each leave year.
Completed Years of USG Service Sick Leave at Full Pay
3 months – 2 yrs 11 work days per year
2 yrs – 4 yrs 21 work days per year
4 yrs – 6 yrs 32 work days per year
6 yrs – 10 yrs 43 work days per year
More than 10 yrs 54 work days per year
    1. d) All Locally Employed Staff who are working full time are eligible for Health Insurance.
    1. e) Severance pay

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
