Salam LADC are conducting an Education project in coordination with TdH Italy at their Community Centre in Saadnayel, Beqaa. You will be reporting to the ‘Education Project Officer’ in regards to your day-to-day duties during your fixed-term contract. We are looking for 3 new BLN staff members to join our dynamic and inclusive team. You will be working with both host and refugee communities as Salam LADC believes in supporting all populations regardless of gender, nationality, religion and political affiliation.
The teacher will deliver:
Basic Literacy and Numeracy Classes for Children (Aged 10–14)
Educational Planning:
Planning and delivering lessons based on the guidance of the Education Project officer.
Child Development:
Creating individual files for each child as per the directions of the technical team.
Monitoring the educational and developmental progress of each child.
Recommending and implementing additional support where necessary in coordination with the CP Focal point and Education Project Officer.
Child Well-being:
Ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment for the children.
Maintaining ongoing positive communication with parents.
Adaptive Teaching:
Tailoring teaching and educational methods to the unique needs, abilities, and potential of each student.
Assessment and Record-Keeping:
Implementing learner-centered assessment methods to engage all students with the curriculum.
Recording classroom attendance for each child.
Reporting any absences and identifying absences requiring follow-up by outreach staff.
Develop detailed weekly and monthly reports.
Manage data and ensure its accuracy and consistency.
Conduct any monitoring and evaluation tasks you are assigned.
Support to Life Skills Sessions:
Supporting the Child Protection and Education (Edu) focal points in conducting life skills sessions.
Supervision and Administrative Duties:
Submitting a daily timesheet to the line manager.
Participating in training sessions and follow-up meetings conducted by TDH-IT team.
Contributing to Center Operations:
Contributing to the ongoing operations of the centers as required.
Conducting any other relevant tasks as necessary and called upon.
Protection:
Commit to Salam LADC’s code of conduct, PSEA and Safeguarding policies.
Ensure the protection of children on all levels and report any kind of danger by using Salam LADC’s complaint mechanism
Professional Competencies:
Minimum 1 year of providing BLN education
Demonstrated knowledge of protection and related technical aspects.
Knowledge on how to communicate with vulnerable population groups, such as women, children, youth, elderly, persons with disabilities and refugees.
Ability on producing report and on compiling of quantitative and qualitative data
Experience in conducting basic administrative tasks
Excellent knowledge and understanding of local communities and customary rules.
MS Proficiency (Word, Excel)
