The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the implementation of a health project in Akkar and T5 areas and ensuring its completion on time and within budget. The project coordinator must have the capacity to coordinate multiple aspects of the project simultaneously, while ensure excellent communication with all team members and all parties involved in the project.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Act as a focal point for the assigned project components.
- Organize, coordinate, and plan the project activities efficiently respecting the available budget.
- Delegate work to team members based on skills and expertise.
- Coordinate with the team members to ensure proper fulfillment of the daily tasks.
- Ensure activities are implemented in conformity with the approved project proposal.
- Submit regular reports on challenges and achievements as agreed with the supervisor, with respecting quality and deadlines.
- Assist and provide guidance and support to the project teams.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise in close coordination with the supervisor.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor the projects’ activities.
- Communicate and liaise internally with other IOCC departments as needed to ensure that the project related procurement, HR, and financial requests and reports are properly done and completed within the set timeframe and budget.
- Assess, discuss, and address the projects’ challenges with the supervisor.
- Work with proposal teams to develop cost estimates and project plans.
- Attend and participate in IOCC meetings as well as various coordination meetings in North and Akkar.
- Conduct trainings to the team members and other project staff, when necessary.
- Monitor monthly expenditure and track the project budgets to ensure that spending on the program is in line with the approved budgets.
- Represent IOCC at meetings with other NGOs, UN Organizations, Ministry of Public Health officials & local community leaders.
- Coordinate closely with UNHCR PH North head of unit and team.
- Coordinate and develop partnerships and good working relationships with local and international partners, the Ministry of Public Health, donors, and other organizations stakeholders implementing health and nutrition-related programs.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Ability to achieve results and meet deadlines in a demanding, pressured, and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Diplomacy and dynamic personality.
- Capacity and willingness to travel to the field.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus.
- Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience:
- 3 to 4 years work experience in project management.
- Previous experience in NGO and humanitarian field is a must.
- Experience with health, nutrition and mental health programs including primary health programs.
Working Conditions
- Stationed in IOCC office (North), with frequent visits to the field in Akkar and T5
- Candidate should reside in North Lebanon (at least during working days)
