Job Summary:
The social media and Content Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing content strategies to support the organization’s marketing, branding, and communication objectives. This role involves overseeing content creation, ensuring consistency, and optimizing content performance across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute content strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and target audience.
- Conduct research to identify content trends, keywords, and audience preferences.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define content objectives and target metrics.
- Content Creation and Management:
- Create engaging and high-quality content for various channels, including websites, blogs, social media, emails, and print materials.
- Edit, proofread, and optimize content for clarity, accuracy, and SEO best practices.
- Manage content production, including assigning tasks to internal or external contributors, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to promote our organization and its initiatives across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Plan and schedule social media posts, ensuring consistent and timely content delivery.
- Monitor social media trends, engagement metrics, and audience insights to optimize content and maximize reach.
- Engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the team to align social media activities with marketing, communications, and event initiatives.
Community Management:
- Supervise and oversee user-generated content and comments, ensuring they align with community guidelines and regulations.
- Recognize and capitalize on possibilities for collaborating with influencers, forming partnerships, and executing social media campaigns.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track, measure, and analyse social media performance using analytics tools.
- Generate regular reports on key metrics, trends, and insights to inform social media strategies and content optimization.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and growth based on data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content for an organization.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise content.
- Strong knowledge of social media trends, best practices, and platform algorithms.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and creating visually appealing content.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
