Background

The Arab Resource Collective (ARC) is a non-governmental regional organization. ARC’s mission is to work with partners on producing and disseminating knowledge, promoting policies, and developing human resources in order to translate rights into reality. ARC targets children and youth within their environment, and focuses on health, education, and protection.

ARC will use its MHPSS (under updating) website – Nawwara-, a website developed by ARC to provide and share MHPSS resources, news, content, and support in the Arab world. The MHPSS website was developed to target professionals, experts, frontliners, and caregivers with MHPSS resources. This website will include an online course, multiple Support Groups, and new, valid, updated, and contextualized MHPSS Resources.

HEPPP – Health, Early Learning, and Protection Parenting Program- is a curriculum guide developed by ARC and is a tool that aims to empower the role of mothers and fathers in the care of their children based on principles of child ecology, positive child psychology, development, and child rights. It provides a framework of concepts, knowledge, and exercises that help develop the practices of parents in the education of their children while adopting an integrated and holistic approach to child early learning, care, health, development, and parental well-being.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Training:

  •  Participate in all trainings recommended by MHPSS & HEPPP coordinators on projects and  framework.

2. Communication:

  • Work closely in coordination with MHPSS & HEPPP project coordinators as directed by the management team.
  • Assist with planning and logistics for projects’ activities such as trainings, webinars, conferences, field activities, etc.
  • Conduct field visits to the implementation areas when and if needed.
  • Follow up with the participants in case of absence and drop-outs, and report the reasons.
  • Listen, receive, and report complaints from participants, as well as their feedback and suggestions about the project, sessions, and mentors’ conduct.
  • Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the participants and their information.

3. Outreach:

  • Contact, register, and enroll ECD frontliners to participate in the MHPSS project activities (in the online MHPSS toolkit and support groups).
  • Create a systematic outreach documentation tool and keep it up-to-date.
  • Conduct field visits for registering and enrolling ECD frontliners when and if needed.
  • Fill out the outreach form (survey) of the eligible participants.
  • Keep Track of the attendance sheets of the participants and the session reports.
  • Follow up with centers and partners in the field as advised by project coordinators and management team.

4. Logistics:

  • Support and follow up with the relevant party concerning the recharging of participants’ and mentors’ phone lines,  or  Wi-Fi payment.
  • Assist in the preparation, distribution, and monitoring of the MHPSS & HEPPP kits.

5. Reporting:

  • Inform Project Coordinators of any urgency.
  • Provide reports and feedback on activities for improving the programme’s performance and sustainability on the implementation of the Projects.
  • Performs any other related duties, as requested.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • University Degree in business management, business administration, project management, or other related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in working in outreach, administration, data entry and analysis, and/or MEAL in NGOs.
  • Experience in ECD, education, Mental Health projects is a plus.
  • Very high organizational skills, attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • High understanding of project (design and implementation)
  • Very Good written and verbal English & Arabic skills.
  • High reporting skills.
  • Very High communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with reporting and database systems.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of Excel and other reporting tools.
