Target: Community at large, particularly: non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private sector/public and in between, marginalized groups (women, people with special needs, etc.), refugees, representatives of government institutions, local councils and syndicates.
The field researcher will support the preparation of the workshop and follow up on its impacts in the specified area. Specifically, the field researcher should:
Key accountabilities
• Attend preparatory meetings with the COSV Facilitation Consultants (CFC);
• Conduct a quick stakeholders map of the selected area in coordination with the CFC;
• Participate in the two workshops (three days each) in the selected area;
- Write a detailed learning workshop report;
- Follow-up the workshop outputs by monitoring stakeholder’s relationships, opportunities, risks, and changes in the context;
Person specification
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, business management, or political science required;
- Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following applied research topics: local governance, local development, social economy, community capital and community cohesion;
- Ability to access information through institutions, contacts, or connections, and the ability to extract valuable knowledge from media outlets, and social media platforms for local matters;
- Ability to collect important data and use it to generate pertinent knowledge through context analysis, and the ability to convey its importance, all while being self-directed;
- Good understanding of the socio-economic context of the selected areas in Lebanon;
- Ability to work in a diverse cultural context;
- Excellent writing and communication skills (in Arabic and English);
- Ability to comply strictly with deadlines and work in a timely manner;
- Ability to move around the entire Lebanese areas;
