SAFEGUARDING

CESVI is looking for data collectors to be responsible of conducting surveys on the field and over the phone in the framework of ongoing and future interventions. Main duty stations will be: Beirut (CESVI office) and Central Beqaa (working remotely/on the field).
The data collectors will work under the supervision of the MEAL Coordinator. They will:
* support the project outreach by conducting surveys at HHs level, community members and key informants;
*support in the conduction of Focus Group Discussions with target groups and key informants in the above mentioned area;
* work on the field through door-to-door data collection and, if necessary, by collecting data through phone interviews.
MAIN TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
They will be assigned the following tasks:
– Conduct door-to-door interviews with community members identified on the field
– Attend individual appointments on the field or by phone with beneficiaries, key informants and relevant stakeholders to administer questionnaires/surveys;
– Attend needed info sessions and focus group discussions CESVI will organize and administer questionnaires/surveys;
– Collect filled-in surveys and assign grades based on CESVI instructions;
– Translate questionnaire questions from English to Arabic simultaneously.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Experience
– Applicants must have a good knowledge of or familiarity with data collection tools, including:
Kobo/ODK/ONA/survey123 or other relevant tools & Quantitative and qualitative questionnaires/Key informant interviews/Pre-tests/Post-tests/Post Distribution Monitoring questionnaires/Focus Group Discussions
– In addition, applicants must be skilled in the use of Spreadsheets, Word processing, calendar, e-mail and data entry;
– Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to establish positive relationships with people at all levels;
Skills
– Fluent in Arabic and English (oral and written);
– Organizational Skills: Be able to develop and respect work plans, to manage time effectively and meet assigned deadlines;
– Active Listening Skills: be able to listen carefully and make informed decisions, without giving false expectations;
– Social consciousness: be socially aware of the socio-economic situation of their area and how it can affect their work;
– Interpersonal Skills: be able to build positive relationships with potential participants and build trust;
– Written and Verbal Communication Skills: be able to clearly articulate information.;
– With cultural awareness and sensitivity to needs of vulnerable populations of all nationalities.
