The YBLN Teacher will be responsible for:

– Provide effective teaching in basic literacy and numeracy to out of school youth.

– Create a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning using interactive teaching approaches.

– Implement innovative, age-appropriate, learner-centered teaching methods to engage students.

– Evaluate students’ academic development, keep appropriate records, prepare progress reports

– Prepare lesson plans, teaching handouts and activity sheets prior to sessions where appropriate.

– Manage students’ behavior in the classroom appropriately in accordance with the center’s and project’s rules.

– Attend departmental meetings, donor meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
